Two members of staff we see were nice and friendly.
The shower curtain was dirty and stained, there was no shower gel at all in our room, the bedside lamp did not work and also the "breakfast" was awful I paid extra for the breakfast to be included as me and my partner was not from Reading celebrating our anniversary, to find it was tiny pastry and you had to pay even more for any kind of cooked breakfast (which was not stated until the morning at breakfast). We had stayed at a different Ibis hotel in reading a few months before which again I paid more for the breakfast and that had cooked breakfast included.

It was close to town
The shower was broken so we had to hold the shower head for each other while we had a sort of shower. The receptionist looked bored and not interested in anything I asked her. The breakfast waitresses was rude to my partner when asked a simple question. The sausages were stone cold in the middle because they had blatantly been cooked prior to us asking for them and were re-heated in the microwave. When my partner asked for a replacement that too was exactly the same so we gave up and had toast. My sausage was also cold in the middle. We were told it was a set fried breakfast and we couldn’t change anything on it but the chap next to us changed his to exactly what he wanted. We paid £7 each for a very poor English breakfast and all we ate was the one piece of bacon, a hash brown and a few beans. The rest was not nice to eat at all. £14 for 2 very substandard breakfasts.......!
